Barbara Stollberg-Rilinger

studied History, German Literature and Art History at the University of Cologne where she earned her PhD in 1985. Since 1997, she holds the chair of Early Modern History at the University of Münster. In 2018, she was appointed Rector of the Berlin Institute for Advanced Study. She has received numerous accolades, including Sigmund Freud Prize for Academic Prose of the German Academy for Language and Literature.
