Professor of international history at Boston University, and the author of several books on the history of neoliberalism and far right politics. He contributes regularly to the New Statesman, the New York Review of Books and other publications. His most recent book is Hayek’s Bastards: Race, Gold, IQ, and the Capitalism of the Far Right (Zone Books, 2025).
