Nicolae Gheorghe

is coordinator of the Roma Center for Social Intervention and Studies (Rromani CRISS) in Romania and a member of the Project on Ethnic Relations Council for Ethnic Accord. He is also the vice-president of the International Romani Union. He is a sociologist affiliated with the Romanian academy and the author of numerous articles and studies related to Roma and the present situation of the Roma in Central and Eastern Europe
