Askold Melnyczuk
is a novelist, poet and essayist. Works include ‘What Is Told’ (1994), ‘The Ambassador of the Dead’ (2001), ‘The House of Widows’ (2008) and ‘The Man Who Would Not Bow’ (2021). He co-edited ‘From Three Worlds: The New Writing from Ukraine’. Currently a Professor in the MFA Program at the University of Massachusetts, he has also taught at the Bennington Writing Seminars, Boston University, and Harvard. He is Founding Editor of AGNI (1973) and the Arrowsmith Press (2006), and his work has been translated into German, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian.
