Ian Buruma

is a Dutch writer and academic. He is currently Paul W. Williams Professor of Human Rights and Journalism at Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. Buruma writes for The New York Review of Books, The New Yorker, The New York Times and NRC Handelsblad.
