Elmar Holenstein

(b.1937 in St. Gallen, Switzerland) studied philosophy, psychology, and linguistics in Leuven, Heidelberg, and Zurich. He was professor of philosophy in Bochum, Zurich (Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule), and Tokyo. Since his retirement, he has lived in Yokohama, Japan. His publications include Philosophie-Atlas. Orte und Wege des Denkens, Ammann Verlag, Zurich 2004.
